Ibarapa Oyo Pacesetters financially supported non-members who are indigenes of our local government areas during natural disasters – Hurricane Andrew in Florida in 1990. In the field of education, in 1996, we donated pencils and exercise books to primary and secondary schools in Oyo and Lanlate. Beginning in 2000, we have awarded annual scholarships to pay the tuition of indigenes of our areas who are enrolled in tertiary institutions of education in Nigeria. We have also shipped to Nigeria, and are awaiting distribution, books to stock classroom libraries of identified schools in our hometowns. Most recently, in April 2007, we donated an Editing Machine and a Television Monitor set to Nigerian Television Authority – NTA Oyo. |
